Let’s add fuel to the fire! Or is it, he’s on fire, or maybe quite simply, DJ Palestine is fire. Thus, deeming him Mr. Fuego, an accolade to his ingenuity in contriving such partnerships in the 10 tracks presented in his debut album “DJ Palistine is Fuego,” coming to you soon in his official release party in Saint Paul, Minnesota August 31, 2009 at the Myth Night Club.
His tactic is more austere in the conformity of the so-called clubby aspects of the music industry. DJ Palestine showed his bravado in sticking to simplicity. Though with simplicity, he uses his proficient mastery in the art of deejay to entertain; one that steers towards tailoring to the crowd’s enjoyment.
He highlighted some of the best of the best top club music pieces by applying his ability to fluidly flow in aligning each in a masterful transition without the bumps and nicks. His collaboration of top R&B mixes, raps with more explicit languages, old school and new school, even playing with tidbits of the ever-popular electronic dance music instrumentals, and more importantly, a cameo of Mr. Smokes’ rhythmic flow lyrically in cadence over the instrumental of Alice Deejay’s more prominent song, “Better off Alone.”
If you’re a club fiend, or if you like the new electronic dance music theme with a twist of rap and R&B, or if you can’t wait until the weekend to go out clubbin’, or if you’re just a fan of Chozen One and Trilogy you’ll definitely want cop this CD.
I was once told by a DJ friend that, to paraphrase it to the best of my abilities, it isn’t about pleasing the crowd, but rather to play the music that initially got you into the business. Play the music that you love, not the music that the crowd loves. Stay true to what you believe in first and only then is when you’ll find self-enjoyment that will catapult you as a self-expressionist, and you will see a flock of people that will come to you regardless. And they will come to listen to your music because now, you’re not part of the social norm, but an advocate of self-expression. That’s the true art form of a deejay!
