Yia Her, 26, was being held Monday in the Ramsey County jail. St. Paul police arrested the Oakdale man at a St. Paul address Sunday at 12:04 p.m., according to a jail log. He has not been charged.
Police aren’t elaborating on whether they’re looking for other suspects, Sgt. Paul Paulos, a department spokesman, said Monday morning.
Vone Moua, 45, was killed and two others were injured Sunday. A police report said the shooting occurred between 2:30 and 2:41 a.m., and police said they responded to Malina’s Bar, 691 N. Dale St., at 2:40 a.m. on a report of three people shot.
Officers found three men shot inside the bar. St. Paul fire department paramedics took the victims to Regions Hospital, where Moua died. A second man was admitted and treated for nonlife-threatening injuries, police said Sunday. The third victim was treated and released. Police haven’t released names of the other victims.
Police have said they don’t believe it to be a random incident.
“We continue to follow up on leads that are presently coming in,” Paulos said Monday.
