The family of a Chico State student killed by a falling tree branch on campus spoke publicly on Wednesday for the first time.
Chico State identified the victim today as 18-year-old Pa Houa Lor, a sophomore. Both family and the campus – deeply saddened by this tragedy.
Pa Houa Lor’s family cannot understand why this happened to her and they shared what kind of person she was.
“She is very friendly. Very nice. She got along well with everybody and we just love her happy face. She would come brighten up the room,” said Suping Vang, Pa Houa Lor’s sister-in-law.
What can only be described as a freak accident — took the life of 18-year-old Pa Houa Lor on Chico State’s campus Tuesday. On Wednesday, her grieving family spent time remembering her.
“When I call her, I need something, she’s right on it. She would do everything,” said Vang.
