I haven't been there in a very long time. Why? Because of all the fights and shootings that took place and your safety is not guaranteed there! NO security on duty! Why, because the owners are known for being too greedy. You wonder why they have such turnovers with their staff? They don't even treat their employees right. Don't believe me, ask anyone that's worked there before. Plus, they would charge me and my friends different prices for the exact same drink and charge my tab up the ass. Why didn't we notice it? Well, because we figure we trust them to do their jobs accurately and didn't really question it. By the end of the night we forget to check our tabs until we start talking about why both our bills were so high a few days later. Despite all this, we are all Hmong and didn't want to make a big deal and took it as helping their business. Oh yeah, not did this only happened to me and my friends but I've heard from others almost the same reason why they stop going there. Really, I truly believe that the City should have shut them down a long time ago. They should really post a sign that states "Enter at your own risks! We're not liable."

Ha, Malina’s is the best place people have fun at!!! Don’t you notice, all bars haves fights and shootings… Sua, you I don’t know what’s so bad about it but as far as I know, they have been very respectful!!! I bet Hmong people like you feel intimidated that you act rich towards them and start being very rude to them!!! And maybe who knows, you did had a couple of drinks!! You don’t remember what you order… Blame it on the owners or the bartenders?? If you have a problem with that then use cash! And their prices on the drinks is fair, go downtown or what so ever…. A shot of patron there is 10-12 bucks dude… Over at Malina’s is 6 or 7 bucks… It’s more affordable than downtown! I don’t know what so bad mouthing about you towards Malina’s but I think it’s great!

      AMEN to that!!!!

And if you think you’re being over charged, use cash. That’s common sense for every bar you go to. And nonetheless, the owners are great. So stop your damn complaining about a great enviroment just cause your “rich and high mighty” self don’t fit in with our “ghetto” crowd. Okaythanksbye!

Malina’s is owned by a greedy self absorbed guy along with his equally greedy wife. If you want to be charged for drinks you did not order then this is the place for you. As Sua has mentioned above, have you ever noticed the employee turnover rate? They treat their employees like crap! On many occasions people have witnessed the owner yelling at his employees for stupid reasons. Oh, don’t bother tipping the bartenders because the owner pockets the cash when they are not looking. Did I mention that the owner and his wife are constantly drunk? What kind of business allow their underage bartenders to drink on the job? I know for a fact two of their bartenders are underage and always drink on the job. The owner is ok with it? No wonder we as the customers get screwed on our tabs. The owners and employees are not sober enough to do their job and end up charging us for whatever they choose to. When confronted they tell us we’re the drunk ones? Some people may say I’m lying but as I’ve been told before during an incident “the security camera does not lie”. No security, drunk staff, unprofessional owners. Enter at your own risk. After a friend got screwed on a tab there I’m never stepping foot through those doors again. I hope the city shuts them down for all the violations that have.

Bars/clubs & businesses are about making money, duh, what do you expect. Everyone has their own experiences & opinions about the place, staffs, & owners, but I’d say don’t judge alone by what people say, but by your own personal experiences with them all. I know people who work in bars & clubs & see & hear all the BS they have to deal with all the time. Only speaking from what I’ve experience in the Hmong community, but I’ve noticed that many Hmong patrons do expect to get hook ups & discounts usually from Hmong businesses that they go to. Some are fair & believe they can help the Hmong brothers & sisters, while others believe they should be given some of the goods maybe b/c they feel entitled or something. The media said one killer was mad & caused the drama & killed for $20 bucks. The killers are pathetic, ridiculous, & such scums.
